Was compact cassette ever replaced by other audio formats such as the compact disc (CD)? Better yet, was cassette tape no longer desired by music listeners, collectors at large? Or was this shift in paradigm attributed to the inevitable forces driven by invention, innovative techniques and the chases of “the-next-best-thing” phenomena?
